Clianthus dampieri is a species of flowering plant in the pea family, Fabaceae. It is endemic to New Zealand, where it is found on the North and South Islands. It is a small shrub with pinnate leaves and pink or white flowers. The flowers are borne in racemes, and the fruit is a legume.
Plant is a small shrub that typically grows to 0.5–1 m (1.6–3.3 ft) tall. It has pinnate leaves with 2-6 pairs of leaflets, each leaflet 5-15 mm (0.20-0.59 in) long and 3-8 mm (0.12-0.31 in) wide. The flowers are pink or white, borne in racemes up to 15 cm (5.9 in) long. The fruit is a legume 10-20 mm (0.39-0.79 in) long, containing one or two seeds.
