Coreopsis auriculata, commonly known as earleaf coreopsis or auriculate tickseed, is a herbaceous flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is native to the southeastern United States, where it is found in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. It has also been introduced to California, Hawaii, and Nevada.
This plant typically grows to 30–60 cm (12–24 in) tall, with a spread of 30–60 cm (12–24 in). The leaves are lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, 2.5–7.5 cm (1.0–3.0 in) long and 0.5–3.0 cm (0.20–1.18 in) wide. The flowers are yellow, 2.5–3.8 cm (0.98–1.50 in) wide, with ray florets and disc florets. The fruit is an achene.
