It occurs in the south west of Western Australia between Shark Bay and Geraldton, with an outlying population in the Stirling Ranges. It grows in a variety of habitats, including sandplains, limestone hills, heath and shrubland.

Jasmine Star (Trachelospermum jasminoides) is an evergreen vine with a twining growth habit. It is native to China and Japan, where it is often used as an ornamental plant. The Jasmine Star has dark green, glossy leaves and produces small, white flowers that are very fragrant. The flowers bloom in the summer and the plant can reach a height of 20 feet (6 meters).
