Mimusops elengi, commonly known as maulsari, is a large evergreen tree native to India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia. It grows up to 30 m tall and has a trunk diameter of 1-2 m. The leaves are oblong-elliptical, 10-20 cm long and 5-10 cm wide, with a pointed tip and a serrated margin. The flowers are white or cream-colored, 5-7 cm in diameter, with five petals. The fruit is a drupe, 5-7 cm in diameter, with a single seed.
